Remote access set up is really simple with much of the remote access pc software that’s available. I have a preference for GoToMyPC, but that doesn’t mean there might not be a better remote desktop control option out there for you.
I’m adding a remote access computer software installation video here for GoToMyPC so you can see how easy it is to get this PC remote access software up and running. I don’t have a Mac computer so I can’t help with that, but I’m sure some of these programs offer remote access for PC and Mac. In fact, I believe the GoToMyPC does offer a Mac version.
The particular system this remote computer access software was installed on was running Windows XP, but I also use the software on a machine using Vista and I hope to be using it on Windows 7 very soon. :) My Vista computer remotely connects most often to my XP computer, but I also often connect my XP laptop to my XP office computer and my Vista home computer.
Once you watch the video of the GoToMyPC software installation process, I hope you’ll see how easy it can be to get remote access to your computer. Now that I’ve been using it for a few years, I wouldn’t ever want to have to go back to doing my job without it.
And yes, that’s my voice. It’s the first time I’ve done a video using my own voice for YouTube, but I hope you find it helpful with your remote access computer issues.
So there you go – a concise explanation of the software installation process. This literally took less than 2 minutes to install. If I had tried to set up any other kind of remote access without using remote access computer software, I know it would have taken me much longer to gain access to a remote computer any other way! Luckily, GoToMyPC has always made it easy for me.
